Buildings may be copyright protected on the outside and on the inside. In various European countries, court decisions answered questions like: What are the requirements for copyright protection of architecture? May the architect stop re-modeling of a building due to moral rights? The seminar will look at case law from France, Germany, Italy and Turkey.

Giorgio Mondini

Giorgio Mondini is the founding partner of the law firm Mondini Rusconi that as of this year has merged into Mondini Bonora Ginevra studio legale. Since his admission in 1968 he has specialized in intellectual property, in particular in copyright law, media (including new media), trademarks, designs and models, competition, telecommunications and broadcasting legislation. He represents some of the largest Italian and foreign media companies in transactional and contentious work in Italy and has frequently pleaded before Italian courts of any jurisdiction including the Supreme Court of Cassation and before the ECJ in IP matters. He has also acted as an arbitrator and has pleaded within arbitration proceedings.
Giorgio Mondini is a frequent commentator on intellectual property and media issues and is considered by International legal directories such as Chambers and Legal 500 as one of the leading Italian practitioners in these areas.

Guillaume is a member of the AIPPI Reporter General Team since 2018 (Cancun Congress). Guillaume is a member of the Paris Bar, partner of SZLEPER HENRY AVOCATS. Guillaume holds a doctorate in IP law. His practice is dedicated to intellectual property and new technologies, and he both handles litigation matters and provides advisory services. He represents many foreign companies before the French and European courts.
Guillaume is associate professor at the CEIPI (International Centre for Intellectual Property Studies - Strasbourg University) and lecturer in industrial property at Sorbonne University and he is the author of several books on IP.

Mine Güner Sunay is the head of the Intellectual Property practice at Esin Attorney Partnership a member of Baker McKenzie Swiss Verein. Mine represents local and global clients in a broad range of intellectual property matters with a special industry focus on consumer goods, retail and media & technology.

She is a certified trademark and patent attorney with the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.
