On November 11, 2020 the Board Meeting of the German National Group of AIPPI took place and on November 18, 2020 the annual General Assembly. As result of these meetings, there have been significant changes in the Executive Board of the National Group.
Since the term of the current President, Jochen Bühling, expires on December 31, 2020 and re-election is no longer possible, the Executive Board has been newly appointed. In the Board meeting, Karsten Königer was elected as the new President of the German Group with effect from January 1, 2021. He is succeeded as Vice-President by Clemens Heusch. In addition, Sönke Lorenz was re-elected as Treasurer and Jan Dombrowski as Secretary. Furthermore, Sabine Kossak was elected to the Board at the General Assembly.
The German National Group thanks Jochen Bühling for his great commitment, not only within the German National Group, but also within AIPPI. By way of example, the German National Group may also host the AIPPI World Congress 2025 because of his engagement. Furthermore, he was also significantly responsible for the modernization of the structures within the German National Group. As soon as meetings will be possible again, the German National Group will also pay tribute to Jochen Bühling in an appropriate way.
