Jordi Güell

Partner , GUELL IP (ES)

 

Jordi Güell is a lawyer and a Spanish IP attorney. He is the Managing Partner of GUELL
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY SLP (GUELL IP).
He advises national and multinational companies on matters relating to intellectual
property and unfair competition. Jordi represents clients in all matters before the Courts
(Spanish Courts, General Court and Court of Justice of the European Union), the EUIPO
and the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office. He has wide experience in counterfeiting
and manages the enforcement program in Spain for major clients.
Jordi is a LLB from the University of Barcelona, specialized in Intellectual property and
holds a post-degree in Competition Law. He is an Official Translator of English
appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He lectures on IP law at OBS-University of Barcelona, the Lawyer’s Bar Association of
Barcelona and at the ISDE University Masters to qualify for the Examination for Access
to the Legal Profession.
Jordi has a long-standing involvement with AIPPI. He used to be Member of the Board
of the Spanish Group and is currently Member of the Nominating Committee and the
Standing Committee on Piracy and Counterfeiting of AIPPI International.
Apart from AIPPI, Jordi is also involved with ECTA, of which he is current Treasurer and
member of the Management Board, and with INTA, where he is a regular speaker and
co-authors the INTA Annual review of EU case-law since 2013.
Jordi’s hobbies include sea swimming, cycling and amateur theatre. He is a great FC
Barcelona fan.
