Elise Melon

UCB Biopharma SPRL, Associate Director IP (US)

 

Elise Melon joined UCB in 2017, a global biopharmaceutical company focusing on creating value for people living with neurology and immunology conditions, to lead on UCB’s IP policy and patent operations.

Before working for UCB, Elise Melon worked for 5 years at the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA), which represents in the EU the research-based and innovative pharmaceutical industry. As Director for Intellectual Property Policy, she coordinated the development of EFPIA’s IP and innovation policy within and outside the EU.

Today, she is EFPIA’s IP Expert Group Vice-Chair and contributes her IP policy expertise to many other working groups and trade associations.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Political sciences and European Studies from Sciences Po (Paris) and two Masters of Law in Intellectual Property Law from Sciences Po (Paris) and in European Law and Economic Analysis from the College of Europe (Bruges).
