Tara Sherbrooke

Tara heads the legal function at ICE, the music industry’s leading integrated copyright hub established as a joint venture by the collecting societies PRS, GEMA and STIM. Working across all of ICE’s multi-jurisdictional business activities, such as online licensing, processing and copyright services, Tara has a broad role advising on strategic and commercial matters, including intellectual property, competition law, data protection and collective rights management in the complex and fast-moving music publishing sector.

After her BSc, Tara trained and qualified as a lawyer at Norton Rose before moving to Morrison & Foerster [and then Osbourne Clarke]. Throughout her time in private practice she advised clients on commercialising intellectual property before moving in-house to Element Six, a synthetic diamond manufacturer, as their sole IP Counsel. She has extensive experience representing the creators and owners of intellectual property across a range of industries and territories bringing both legal and commercial expertise, coupled with a commitment to creators and protecting their interests.
