Jonathan Osha

AIPPI, Reporter General (US)

 

Mr. Osha is a U.S. patent attorney and U.S. attorney at law, holding a degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University (1989) and a Juris Doctor (law) degree from George Mason University (1993).  In addition to his role as Reporter General of AIPPI, he serves on the Harmonization Task Force of AIPLA and participates in the Industry Trilateral and Industry IP5 harmonization talks.  In his private practice at Osha Liang LLP, Mr. Osha works primarily in international IP strategy, licensing, and patent prosecution, splitting his time between the firm’s offices in Houston, Paris, Tokyo and Hangzhou.  He is a former adjunct professor of patent law at University of Houston Law Center, and a frequent speaker and author on IP-related issues.  Mr. Osha is also the founder and President of Compudopt.org, a non-profit organization that provides free after-school computer technology and science education to children.
