Seminar on “Trade Mark Protection in Criminal Procedure”

The Trade Mark Special Committee of the Chinese Group of AIPPI held a seminar on Trade Mark Protection in Criminal Procedure on June 7, 2024.
Two topics were discussed in the seminar – “The Boundaries between Crime and Non-crime in Trademark Cases” and “The Application of Guilty Plea and Punishment Acceptance in Trademark Criminal Cases”. Both are heated topics in trademark criminal trials. Speakers from the Group and guest speakers from China’s Supreme People’s Procuratorate, Zhejiang Higher People’s Court, Beijing Chaoyang District Procuratorate, Jiangsu Institute of Intellectual Property Protection and Development, BMW China, Eaton and a former presiding judge of the Supreme People’s Court of China shared their experiences and thoughts in these issues. The seminar was moderated by Mr. Yakai SHI and Ms. Maggie Mi, co-chairs of the Committee.
