New Executive Director of AIPPI

AIPPI is pleased to announce that Sue Paredi joined the association as its new Executive Director on 6 January 2025.

Here is a bit about myself:

I’m an experienced Senior Leader with a strong connection to AIPPI’s mission and goals. Over the years, I’ve gained expertise in areas like NGO management, finance, event organisation, business excellence, project management, and IT. My career has been all about driving growth and efficiency, whether it’s through strategic initiatives or leading cross-functional teams. Having worked extensively with global organisations, I deeply value AIPPI’s role in creating an international platform for collaboration and innovation in intellectual property. I’m excited to bring my knowledge and experience to support its mission and drive impact worldwide.

Building strong relationships has always been at the heart of my leadership style. I believe in leading with respect, appreciation, and a hands-on approach that inspires teams to work toward shared goals. Whether it’s engaging with colleagues, partners, or stakeholders, I’m passionate about creating an environment where collaboration thrives. I’m confident that my ability to connect with people and align diverse perspectives can add real value to AIPPI’s global community.

Outside of work, I’m a member of the Women Pilots Association, a helicopter pilot, and a certified coach. I actively encourage women to explore careers in aviation and beyond, breaking barriers and building confidence in traditionally male-dominated fields. AIPPI’s ability to influence global policies and provide opportunities for professionals resonates with my desire to drive change and empower individuals. This shared focus on making a difference motivates me to contribute meaningfully to the organisation’s ongoing success.

When I’m not working, you’ll often find me cycling, hiking, or spending time with family and friends. Staying active and social is important to me – it keeps me balanced and connected. I hope to bring this same energy and enthusiasm to AIPPI, not just as a professional, but as someone who values the power of collaboration, diversity, and shared goals to create meaningful impact.
