Kicking off the New Year – AIPPI Events

As the New Year is rolling out we would like to make you attentive to the upcoming AIPPI activities. From regional gatherings to global congresses, we have put together a diverse programme with several enriching events aimed at fostering research and innovation in all areas of intellectual property and supporting knowledge-sharing experiences among intellectual property (IP) professionals. Some highlights are:

Reach Out Series: Siem Reap, Cambodia (14 February 2025)

Our ‘Reach Out Series’ kicks off in the historic city of Siem Reap, Cambodia. This event will provide attendees with an opportunity to engage with experts on topics such as the Impact of AI on IP Rights and Enforcement, Trade Secrets and the different EUIPO IP systems administered by EUIPO and the benefits for the users.

MidTerm Meeting: Zagreb, Croatia (20-21 February 2025)

Zagreb, the vibrant capital of Croatia, will host AIPPI’s MidTerm Meeting in late February. This two-day event is set to feature discussions on pressing IP issues such as SEP, AI, the EU Design Reform, Patentability of Psychedelics and much more! There will be plenty of opportunities to collaborate with peers from around the world and to explore the beautiful city of Zagreb in good company.

Webinars: Expanding Knowledge Across Borders

Throughout the year, AIPPI is offering a robust lineup of webinars tailored to the diverse needs of its members. Joint sessions with ASIPI and the Young Members group promise to provide fresh perspectives and foster cross-generational dialogue. Additionally, individual webinars hosted by AIPPI’s National and Regional Groups will delve into specific topics, ensuring that all members can find content relevant to their interests and expertise. AIPPI World Congress: Yokohama, Japan (13-16 September 2025)

The highlight of AIPPI’s calendar, the World Congress, will take place in Yokohama, Japan. From 13 to 16 September, IP professionals from around the globe will converge to exchange ideas, discuss emerging trends, and shape the future of intellectual property law. With a programme that includes keynote speakers, panel discussions, and social events, the Congress offers a unique blend of learning and networking opportunities in one of Japan’s most modern and dynamic cities.
