2023 AIPPI Trilateral Meeting in Tsingtao, China

AIPPI China in collaboration with AIPPI Japan and AIPPI Korea organised the 2023 AIPPI Trilateral Meeting in Tsingtao, China from June 30th to July 2nd, 2023, with more than 100 participants from the three countries.

Mr. Tian Lipu, President of AIPPI China, Mr. Yuzuru Okabe, President of AIPPI Japan, and Mr. Seong Tahk Ahn, President of AIPPI Korea, delivered welcome speeches together with Mr. Shoichi Okuyama, President of AIPPI at the opening. Mr. Chen Wenquan, Judge of the Intellectual Property Court of the SPC, was invited to give a keynote speech to introduce the latest judicial protection of intellectual property in China, both moderated by Mr. Chuanhong Long, Vice President of AIPPI China.

The three topics presented this year by the speakers from the three countries are: 1. Recent IP Law and Practice Development in the Three Countries; 2. Patent Issues related to AI invention; and 3. Proving Trademark Use (Study Question for 2023 AIPPI Congress in Istanbul).

Ms. Annie Tsoi, Secretary General of AIPPI, greeted the participants with (Richard) Yi Li, Secretary General of AIPPI China, at the Welcome Reception. Mr. Chuanhong Long, Vice President of AIPPI China wrapped up the meeting. Mr. Hirohito Katsunuma, Senior Director of AIPPI Japanese Group gave a promotion speech at the closing. Next year’s trilateral meeting will be held in Okayama, Japan between June 28th-30th, 2024.
