Speakers
Vidisha Garg
Vidisha Garg is a partner at Anand and Anand and involved in the firm’s patent practice. For over twenty years, she has been practicing at the patent office and advising her clients in the field of Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals. She has represented her clients in several pre grant and post grant patent opposition, and patent revocation matters. She was involved in the Tykerb revocation matter, India’s first case on new chemical entities. She also advises her clients on issues relating to protection of national biodiversity and traditional knowledge.
Vidisha is an active member of AIPPI and executive council member of AIPPI, Indian group. She has represented AIPPI at WIPO at the 35th and 36th Standing Committee on Patents meeting in 2023 and 2024 and 17th meeting of Standing Committee on PCT in February 2024. She is also the member of ‘Standing Committee Before the European Patent Office’ (SACEPO), Working Party On Quality.
Ke Ke
Ke Ke is the deputy manager of legal affairs department of Beijing office of China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. He was qualified as attorney-at-law in 2006 and patent attorney in 2009. He received his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology from Nanjing University in 2002 and his Master of Law from Renmin University of China in 2007. Before joining China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd., he worked as a patent examiner in China National Intellectual Property Administration for 6 years.
Mr. Ke is a member of the Chinese Group of AIPPI, a member of All-China Patent Attorneys Association, a member of Licensing Executives Society China, and the Chairman of the Standing Committee Q166 (IP and Genetic Resources / Traditional Knowledge) of the Chinese Group of AIPPI.
Takeshi S. Komatani
Takeshi S. Komatani is an IP strategist and researcher, and also plays various roles in education and enlightenment activities in IP and entrepreneurships.
Takeshi S Komatani is currently principal litigation certified patent attorney at TAKASHIMA International Patent Office, an IP law firm located in Osaka, Japan, and has a number of counsels, including in academia, start-ups and big pharma internationally. He is also qualified as a pharmacist with a certificate of Kampo and natural medicines specialist qualification.
He is a member of the AIPPI and vice chair of TRIPS SC and a member of IP-GRTK SC, and a member of the editorial board of the Pharmaceutical Patent Analyst (UK). He is also a member of JPAA, APAA, IPAJ, PSA, JPA, CSAIP and AAAS. He has lectured in academia, including at Japanese and German universities and WIPO Academy, and contributed to a number of articles. He is currently a member of the Advisory Board at BioCommunity Kansai (BiocK), a Japanese government-funded organisation to create the ultimate ecosystem in the field of biotechnology based in the Kansai region, Japan.
Daniel Posker
Daniel Posker is an experienced IP disputes lawyer and Special Counsel at Norton Rose Fulbright Australia. He acts for clients in multi-jurisdiction, high stakes and technically complex patent litigations in the Life Sciences and Technology sectors and also acts in brands, copyright, consumer law and trade secrets disputes. Daniel also works with First Nations clients and organisations on a range of IP and policy issues and is a current member of AIPPI’s Standing Committee on IP and Genetic Resources, Traditional Knowledge & Traditional Cultural Expressions.
