Manuel is a managing associate in Walder Wyss’ Technology & Intellectual Property (IP) group. He advises and represents clients in all aspects of IP law with a particular focus on trademark, patent and copyright law. His practice also includes unfair competition, media and advertising law.
Lorena Piticco
Swiss and European Patent Attorney, European Patent Litigator, Isler & Pedrazzini AG, Zurich
Lorena is specialized in molecular physics, working on high-resolution molecular spectroscopy and investigating fast molecular processes using laser spectroscopy. Lorena has been working at Isler & Pedrazzini AG since 2013. After her admission as a European Patent Attorney in 2017 and her entry in the Swiss Patent Attorney Register in 2018, she obtained the diploma “Patent Litigation in Europe” from the University of Strasbourg in 2019, which qualifies her to represent clients directly before the Unified Patent Court of the EU. In 2023 Lorena became a partner of Isler & Pedrazzini AG.
Joseph Schmitz
Swiss and European Patent Attorney, Isler & Pedrazzini AG, Zurich
Joseph studied molecular biology and biophysics at ETH Zurich. He specializes in the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical technology and organic chemistry. Joseph also has particular experience in obtaining and enforcing supplementary protection certificates. In 2022, Joseph completed the diploma “Patent Litigation in Europe” at the University of Strasbourg, which entitles him to represent clients before the Unified Patent Court of the EU. He became a partner at Isler & Pedrazzini in 2023.
Thomas Widmer
Attorney at Law, Council at Lalive, Geneva
Thomas specialises in domestic litigation, international arbitration, data privacy and intellectual property and is praised for his “extensive knowledge on the subject” in Chambers Europe, Intellectual Property, 2021.
Thomas teaches the “Legal and regulatory approach” module of the “Business Communication, Web expertise and Social Media” course at the University of Geneva (Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences). This module mainly covers the legal framework surrounding e-commerce, intellectual property and data protection. Thomas also leads a course on the introduction to commercial law and to corporate law at the Institut Capacité en droit. This Institute, based in Geneva, awards the certificate of Capacité en droit.
Fabian Wigger

Fabian advises and represents national and international clients in all aspects of intellectual property law, with a particular focus in copyright law.
Fabian lectures on copyright law at the University of Zurich and at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Winterthur and became a partner at Weinmann Zimmerli in 2022.
