Speakers
Julia Niedźwiecka
Julia is an Associate at Hasik Rheims & Partners.
With legal background, she is currently a Trademark & Patent Attorney Trainee at the Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys. Her scope of work covers mainly trademarks, designs and unfair competition matters. During her practice she has been assisting clients with prosecution and litigation proceedings before Polish and EU institutions, as well as WIPO.
Julia is a member of GR/TK Committee at AIPPI and the Promotion of the Profession Committee at the Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys. She also gives lectures on “Copyright in photography” at the Association of Polish Photographic Artists.
As of December 2024, Julia has been the chair of Young Members AIPPI Poland.
Paweł Poznański
Paweł is an attorney at Zaborski Morysiński, Adwokacka spółka partnerska. He specialises in intellectual and industrial property law. He is experienced in matters relating to prosecution and enforcement of intellectual and industrial property rights. He participates in litigation, proceedings before the Polish Patent Office, EUIPO, WIPO and administrative and common courts. Moreover, he is involved in domain name cases in front of the Arbitration Court for Domain Names.
Paweł is a member of the Warsaw Bar Association. He is currently a student at the Doctoral School of Social Sciences at the University of Warsaw. The topic of his research is “Model of the consumer in trademark law”. He is a member of AIPPI Poland and Secretary of the Industrial Property Law Section at the Warsaw Bar Association.
Marcin Faron
Marcin is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Łódź, the School of Intellectual Property Rights at the H. Grotius Centre for Intellectual Property Rights in Warsaw, and Postgraduate Studies in Intellectual Property Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. He is currently continuing his education at the Doctoral School of Social Sciences at the University of Łódź, preparing a dissertation on trademark law. He is also doing his training as Trademark & Patent Attorney conducted by the Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys. In his professional work he focuses in particular on trademarks and industrial designs.
Marcin is a member of ECTA (and within it the Geographical Indications Committee) and AIPPI.
Krystian Petz
Krystian is employed as part of a grant project on issues at the borderline of intellectual property law and pharmaceutical law, carried out at the Institute of Legal Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He is a graduate of law studies at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. He is currently pursuing a degree in Intellectual Property and New Media Law at the same university.
Krystian is a member of AIPPI and an active participant in Young Members AIPPI Poland. Professionally, he works as a lawyer in a Warsaw law firm specialising in intellectual property law. He is doing his legal training at the Warsaw Bar Association.
