AIPPI-ASIPI Webinar: Green Companies and IP – New Challenges

The first AIPPI-ASIPI webinar in 2024 will kick off on 14 March at 15:00 CET. Moderator María del Pilar López and speakers Paola Andrea Romero Torres and Erika Starost will explore the definition and reasons for becoming green companies, as well as the crucial role of intellectual property in this process. With examples from leading companies, topics such as sustainable brands, empowerment projects, and the benefits for both businesses and the planet will be addressed.

Moderator: 

María del Pilar López is a Partner and Co-Head of the Intellectual Property Department at Arias. For over 15 years, she has advised clients in the protection of intellectual property portfolios, including administrative and judicial processes. Numerous publishers such as Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500, Latin Lawyers, World Trademark Review, Best Lawyers, and Who’s Who Legal have recognized her as one of the most outstanding professionals in the intellectual property practice.

Speakers: 

Paola Romero is a Senior Lawyer at the Federación Nacional de Cafeteros de Colombia. Since 2019, she leads the organization’s legal team specializing in Intellectual Property. Paola holds a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property and Information Privacy from the George Washington University in Washington D.C.

Erika Starost is a corporate lawyer with over 12 years of experience, specializing in M&A, International Tax Planning, and Intellectual Property Law. She has been working at GRUPO AJE for 7 years, and she finds it fascinating to work in a purpose-driven company that focuses on people and generates consumer experiences.
