Registration for the 2025 AIPPI Reach Out Series in Siem Reap is now open!
Join us at the Sokha Siem Reap Resort & Convention Center on 14 February for a day filled with insightful discussions on firstly the Impact of AI on IP Rights and Enforcement. Keynote speaker Ralph Nack (Reporter General of AIPPI) will provide visionary ideas on solutions to the challenges posed by AI.
The second panel will focus on Trade Secrets, moderated by Regina Quek (First Deputy Secretary General of AIPPI) with expert speakers Pavinee Bunyamissara (Nishimura & Asahi, Thailand), Aida Dolotbaeva (Senior Legal Officer, Patent and Technology Law Division, WIPO), Tran Van Nam (Vietnam International Arbitration Centre, Vietnam) and Juanitasari Winaga (Januar Jahja and Partners, Indonesia).
The experts will discuss the law governing trade secrets in their countries and how this impacts the IPR holder, and the strategies that are needed for protection. Our distinguished panel includes a speaker from WIPO to share their perspectives and insights.
In the third panel, Gonzalo Bilbao will inform the attendees about the different EUIPO IP systems administered by EUIPO and the benefits for the users.
Finally, Judge Maximilian Haedicke will give a presentation on how the UPC developed, explaining the project and challenges which actually started already in 1972.

Ralph Nack
Ralph Nack is an expert on complex issues of patent law. He advises German and international clients primarily in patent litigation and in nullity and opposition proceedings. He is a leading international expert in patent licensing, especially regarding standard-essential patents (SEP FRAND licensing). His practice focuses on the areas of electronics, telecommunications, mechanical engineering and pharmaceuticals.
Regina Quek

Regina has over 30 years of experience in intellectual property matters. She established and headed the intellectual property department in two different general practice law firms in Singapore before founding One Legal LLC in February of 2005.
Regina is widely recognised for her expertise in the protection, exploitation and enforcement of intellectual property rights in Singapore and internationally.
Pavinee Bunyamissara
Pavinee Bunyamissara joined the Intellectual Property Practice Group of SCL Law Group, now known as SCL Nishimura, as an associate upon its formation in 2005, and she became partner in 2015. She was previously an associate of the Intellectual Property and Information Technology Practice Group of International Legal Counsellors Thailand Ltd. (ILCT) (Russin & Vecchi). Prior to that, Pavinee was an in-house legal counsel at several different companies dealing in many different industries, such as, telecommunication company, and internet service provider company where she gained extensive hands-on experience within general law practice, IP and digital related matters, as well as contracts and telecommunications working with government agencies.
Aida Dolotbaeva
Senior Legal Officer, Patent and Technology Law Division, World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)
Ms. Aida Dolotbaeva is a senior legal officer at the Patent and Technology Law Division of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). She participates in legal work connected with the development of international intellectual property law, specifically in the area of patents, utility models and trade secrets. In particular, she works in the Secretariat for the Standing Committee on the Law of Patents (SCP). Her primary responsibilities include undertaking legal research and preparing working documents for the SCP. In addition, she is responsible for furnishing legal advice and assistance to member countries on various international treaties relating to patents, including the Patent Law Treaty, Paris Convention and the TRIPS Agreement.
Tran Van Nam
Tran Van Nam is an accomplished legal expert with 35 years of experience in business law, intellectual property law, e- commerce law, and dispute resolution. As an Associate Professor and the Dean of Faculty of Law at National Economics University, he has dedicated his career to teaching and research.
Tran Van Nam is a respected arbitrator at the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) since 2002, playing a vital role in resolving international trade and business disputes. He is also a CEDR Accredited Mediator (United Kingdom), holds a Train-the-trainer Certificate on Mediation Training from CEDR, then became a mediator at Vietnam Mediation Center (VMC) since 2019.
Juanitasari Winaga
Ms. Juanitasari Winaga is an IP Consultant and Head of Operations at Januar Jahja and Partners (JJP). With over a decade of dedicated IP practice at JJP, Juanitasari brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her matters, which primarily focus on trademark and copyright prosecution as well as portfolio management and strategy, for both international and domestic clients. Her expertise earned her recognition as a “trade mark prosecution specialist” in the 2019 edition of the Legal 500, which named her a “recommended attorney”, as well as being recognized as a “Leading Individual” by the 2025 edition of the WTR 1000 for her skills in prosecution and strategy. Juanitasari also plays an active role in the local IP community, serving on committees for organizations such as AIPPI (Indonesian chapter), APAA (Indonesian group), and the Indonesian IP Consultants’ Association (AKHKI). Her leadership capabilities were on full display as she chaired the committee for the ASEAN IP Association Annual General Meeting, hosted in Jakarta in March 2024.
Gonzalo Bilbao
Project Leader Southeast Asia, EUIPO
Mr. Gonzalo Bilbao is an Intellectual Property Lawyer who, since February 2024, has been based in Bangkok, serving as the Project Lead for the IP Key Southeast Asia and SCOPE IPR EU-funded projects. In this role, he continues to drive the advancement of intellectual property frameworks in the region while fostering international cooperation.
Prior to this, Gonzalo Bilbao worked in the Trademark Department at the EUIPO, where he specialized in drafting legal decisions on trademark oppositions, cancellations, and geographical indications. He also has experience from the private sector, having worked in Paris and Madrid on a diverse range of intellectual property matters. Among these roles, one of his key achievements was successfully establishing and managing an IP department at a law firm.
Maximilian Haedicke
Professor Dr. Maximilian Haedicke, LL.M. (Georgetown) is the Chair for Intellectual Property and Competition Law at Albert-Ludwigs-University in Freiburg. He is also a well-known UPC Judge.
