1999-2000 Legal Studies in IP law at the CEIPI at Université Robert Schuman, Strasbourg (FR).
2001 European Qualification Examination, European Patent Attorney

Professional experience
Working as patent and trademark attorney, as from 2002 with Isler & Pedrazzini AG, Switzerland, chemistry/biochemistry as well as mechanical and electromechanical matters; partner.
2010 elected as second permanent judge of the Swiss Federal Patents Court, setting up the new court with the president, Dr. Dieter Brändle, since 1.1.2012 acting as judge 50% of the time, 50% as patent attorney with Isler & Pedrazzini AG.

Teaching experience
Tutor at CEIPI (part D) for the preparation of EQE. Lecturer at HSG St. Gallen, Wirtschaftsrecht für Manager; at ZHAW, School of Management and Law; in the Education of Swiss Patent attorneys and member of the examination board for the Swiss Patent Attorney Bar Exam.

Family and Leisure/Sports
Family: Married, 5 children. Leisure: Piano and harpsichord, chamber music, reading. Sports: Triathlon, skiing, snowboarding.
