Richard Beem, with over 25 years of experience in intellectual property law, is founder and principal of Beem Patent Law Firm. The Firm represents clients in the U.S. and in international intellectual property matters, including patent prosecution, litigation, trials and appeals.
Mr. Beem served for three years as President of the U.S. Group of AIPPI. He currently serves on the Amicus Briefs Committee and Q132 (IT and Internet). He is active in the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) and in the American Bar Association (ABA) Intellectual Property Law (IPL) section, where he serves on the EPO-US Bar Liaison Council. He has published and lectured on patent law and practice in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Mr. Beem currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Union League Club of Chicago and was President of the Chicago Engineers’ Foundation.
