Argentina: New President of the Argentine Patent Office

Mr Damaso Pardo was appointed as the new President of the Argentine Patent and Trademark Office, effective from June 10, 2016.
Mr Pardo has a law degree from the Universidad Católica Argentina (Argentine Catholic University, 1985), and obtained an LLM in Intellectual Property from the University of New Hampshire (formerly known as Franklin Pierce Law Center, 1990).
Mr Pardo is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association, AAAPI, INTA, AIPPI, MARQUES, FICPI and ASIPI.
Mr Pardo is a frequent speaker in national and international seminars related to Intellectual Property rights and published several articles on Intellectual Property matters.
Prior to joining the Argentine Patent and Trademark Office, Mr Pardo was a partner of the intellectual property team of Pérez Alati, Grondona, Benites, Arntsen & Martínez de Hoz (h).
