MaryAnne Armstrong has over 20 years of experience in patent prosecution in the areas of pharmaceutical chemistry, biologics, immunology, organic chemistry, assay/screening systems and medical devices. Dr. Armstrong has represented clients in post-grant procedures and has considerable experience in counseling clients with FTO and patentability analyses. Dr. Armstrong has published numerous articles on intellectual property issues and was named a Life Science Star by LMG Life Sciences in 2012, 2013 and 2015; an IP Star by Managing IP in 2013-2015; and one of the Top 250 Women in IP in 2013. She is the past-Chair of the Chemistry & the Law (CHAL) Division of the American Chemical Society (ACS), a member of FICPI’s CET 5 Technology-Related Patent Issues and on the editorial board of Life Sciences IP Review. Dr. Armstrong has a BS in biochemistry from the Pennsylvania State University and a Ph.D. in biochemistry, with a master’s degree in immunology, both from Cornell University.
