Duncan is a partner of Redd, a leading firm of IP solicitors based in London. He has particular experience handling complex and high value patent disputes and co-ordinating extensive cross-border defence and enforcement programmes.
With degrees in biochemistry from the University of Cambridge, Duncan has a particular interest in the life sciences sector. His cases in this area have involved small molecules, antibodies, vaccines, stem cells, diagnostics, formulations, synthesis and medical devices.
Duncan’s client work regularly involves advising on the intersection between patent law and competition law, particularly in the context of licensing terms, settlements, and filing and enforcement strategies.
Duncan is the secretary of AIPPI’s Pharma Committee and is a member of the Law Society’s IP Standing Committee.
